Just another weekend, with food.

November8
We were supposed to meet up for brunch on Saturday at Wheelers' Yard but due to them having an event, we couldn't go and we went to November8 instead. Was suppose to head elsewhere and we chance upon this cafe and decided to give it a shot! :D

I like the way they decorated the place. Especially with the "fountain window", bicycles and guitar lying around makes it cozy, though modern, with a tinge of playfulness with the colours. Maybe, just the fountain windows. I have this thing for full length window with a lot of greenery outside. And with water flowing down the window, it's perfect! Even though i can't see anything because of the water, but the place allows a lot of sunlight to pass through. Feels very close to the outside, yet I'm inside. Not sure if I'm making sense... :X

Hazelnut latte is really good if you don't like bitter coffee.

Cappuccino was slightly bland. Yet, i like how it doesn't have that sour taste at the end like most do.

Sweet potato fries was alright. Special, but not my favourite.

Eggs Benedict! I tried one bite ha ha It's good! :D

Ordered the November8 for myself. Comes with salmon, prosciutto ham, mushroom, scrambled eggs on toast and vegetables.  The salmon were too raw and bland, same to the ham for me. I like the scrambled eggs, tastes like egg Benny! The vegetables were alright but can do with more flavouring and a tad too raw. The mushroom is the best.

The potato Rosti is probably the best they offered! I think it has more flavouring to it than the rest! Love the fried and salty taste of the Rosti!

Waffles was good too! Like how it's not soft but kinda crispy yet not hard. LOL

#brunchdategirls! The theme was fall-winter colours. Can you tell? :D And WH and i wore the same pair of shoes unknowingly! We didn't know we had the same pair until i looked down and saw a familiar pair of flats. And initially, i thought those were my feet. HA HA We looked like a caterpillar... Green and the 2 pairs of legs, and the legs keep moving at different speed, with the bright blue flats. LOL

WHEE! Looking forward to TAIWAN with them! Booked our 2 way tickets for only $246! WHOOP! Hope we get to catch a masterclass there! The good thing about going overseas with dance friends is that we can dance together! :D Also, since they like eating, i can eat a lot! I foresee that I'm going to be super chubby after that trip! D:

Here's my outfit! The top was a present from Gerry! But, it's a little loose on me and i felt like my top is going to slip off me any moment the whole day. :<

Caught 'Lone survivor' the movie that same day with ♥ and i had no idea it was some kinda army related movie. I only know that the reviews were pretty good. So, we decided to watch it!

Lone Survivor (2013) Poster
Throughout the whole movie, there wasn't a moment (except for the very beginning before the mission) that i wasn't feeling nervous or grossed out! I think my face was probably pretty scrunched up most of the time! The way they had to fight for their lives even after getting shot a few times... so sad! :< The wounds were gross! And the way they fell off the cliff and roll and hit the rocks or whatever hard thing, was well portrayed that they probably broke something and i can almost feel their pain through the screen! Also, how they eventually died after fighting so much... so sad! :< Good visuals and good layout for the plot, not draggy and really full of action!

Really a good movie that I'm so grossed out about it. Even after the movie, when ♥ suddenly stopped walking and said, "wait, my toe hurts...", the scene that immediately pops up to my head is when one of the soldiers got shot in his foot, and i almost thought that ♥ got shot too and i can almost feel the pain? Totally mind fucked! Couldn't stop thinking about how scary it is for the soldiers to be sent to Afghanistan for the war. And all those soldiers who died are SO young! Some are newlyweds, or 'new parents' and they have yet to experience their lives with their family! I feel sad for the soldier, and also his wife, his parents and kids. :< Wars shouldn't exist. But, they do. :<

On a side note, I've got new clothes! Bought myself the skirts that I've been wanting to buy for awhile and they fit! :D Can't wait to wear them! Hehehehe :P

Oh, and while i was trying to deposit my money, the machine ate it up. Bleh. What do i do?! Hope they get me my money back! D:

And... Prelims starts tomorrow but here I am, still chilling and shopping just now. D: I'm a dead piece of meat! DOOMED! Doom i say! D: D: D:

BOO :< BYE~
