Hong Kong~ Lei Hou ah!

So... Got tickets to Hong Kong during Scoot's Morning Glory Promo with Cher and Yu! :D Happy us at the airport!

and me in my ready to take a nap outfit! Hahaha
Touched down at the airport, and we went to get our Octopus card for travelling around, like an Ez Link card before heading for some breakfast! The only restaurant that was going to be open that early was Tsui Wah Restaurant, but we've already intended to try that anyway!

Our first time ordering, and we tried to be as fast as possible!!! Heard that they are really fast pace there, so we had to quickly made a decision and order before we get scolded!!! And they'll probably scold us in Cantonese, not that we know what it means either. Cute little teacup, with the most tasty bread because it's carnation milk! Loooove sweet food! :D
I thought the noodles were just bland, and couldn't really understand the hype about it. As we try more and more noodles, we realised that it's just a Hong Kong thingy. Their soup base tend to be a little bland, compared to my own country's. But i really like the wantons, filled with prawns. They have loads of dishes filled with prawns. :D
Went on to get our cards to get some connection while travelling, at the convenience stall. 7-11 didn't have the amount that we were looking for but we found it here.
Took a train to the city before changing lines to reach our apartment. It's so much cheaper and faster that way too since there were protests going on and traffic might be blocked.
 Super comfortable airport line!

Got off at Hong Kong stop and headed towards the IFC mall to change our trains.

These just reminds me of the Central Business District area. It's so much like my home country. Oh! And tried Godiva ice cream here! Since it's a tad cheaper! Super thick and chocolaty! :D Looooove it!
Walked around a little to check out the area and prices if things were way cheaper here or nah... Before heading to the train station.
The train looks the same as MRT as well, so it kinda feels like I'm half at home.
Alighted at Jordan to walk to our apartment, which we realised after that other stops were closer to our apartment.
Finally, first light, and first glance at them typical Hong Kong streets. Busy and bustling with life.

The lift to our apartment with CCTV. The lift was really vintage, small and trembles each time we reach our level. The place was slightly ulu and secluded though in the middle of the street, but glad there was a security guard at the lobby.
Some of our apartment's neighbours, another hotel. There are many hotels like these, and it makes me wonder if they're "clean". But i guess, why not rent them out and make some money with the space if nobody is using and close to tourist spots? So... this is our tiny apartment for 3. The toilet is ridiculously small. But, most apartments are like that in Hong Kong. Even forking out money won't get us a significantly increase in space, might as well just save on accommodation. We won't even be in the room much, except to sleep. Good thing though that this apartment has double doors. Inside the main door, there's a small corridor leading to a few rooms inside. A tiny tinge of added security.
 Our view.
Went back out after settling our luggage, and headed for lunch! :D
We should have alighted here instead! Nearer!
The ABC soup was better but the bread is still my favourite!
Really thick milk pudding which the girls didn't quite like. It was not bad for me but to eat all of it is pretty filling.
Went to shop around the area near our apartment and it led us to the malls! :D
We were kinda scared since the protest was near to where we were staying and we can see large groups of people and yellow ribbons around. Walked past the protest area and tried to stay away though those few days nothing much happened. Grabbed a bite with the curry fish balls and smelly bean curd! They were actually pretty spicy! And the smelly bean curd was really smelly, much more sour than those i tried in Taiwan.

Crossed over to Argyle Street to find the super good cold noodles and also shopped along the way. Argyle centre was so much cheaper than those clothes in Bangkok though there wasn't much variety to my liking.
Super cheap and good! Just had to choose the ingredients that we want, the noodles, and sauce and just add them all in a bag. The more ingredients we choose, the more we pay. Of course, it's meant to be a light meal. Unless you're a small eater. That is in reference to my appetite. :X
Walked around to find a roast goose stall to try. It wasn't good. And that's when we realise that not all food stalls are good.
Wanted to head back early since we weren't sure how the protests will become, but we took a walk along the famous Women's street before heading back. And really, there is nothing to buy. I didn't want to go since I already heard that there's nothing to buy except to go pass their "must go" area. Anyhows, the signboards were pretty to see. Lights everywhere. And... that marks the end of our first day!

Bye~
